It was a beautiful day to visit the greenhouse today! Students planted a pansy and a tomato plant that they brought home. The pansy can be planted outside but the tomato plant should stay indoors until the end of May. Enjoy!
Our guide from Golden Greenhouse was fantastic. He gave us a tour around while teaching us about the 4 things plants need to grow. Ask your child if they remember the 4 things! (water, soil, sunlight, and carbon dioxide) We also learned that plants can make their own food! How cool!
We saw baby plants, the soil and seed machines that helps them plant faster, and smelled several kinds of lovely flowers, including a chocolate mint plant! Mmm!
