Dear Parents,
On the last day of school, Tuesday, June 28th, all the Grade One classes will be going to the Edmonton Valley Zoo as our year end field trip and part of our science curriculum. During this fun trip, the students will do a self-guided tour of the zoo. Students will enjoy the animals and their surroundings with their group, participate in zoo talks, and get one ride on the merry-go-round and the train.
Cost: $14.00 per student (includes the cost of admissions, a merry-go-round and train ride and bus). $12.50 for adults.
Permission for this field trip must be filled out online. Payment can also be made online, or at the school office. The permission form will be posted beginning on Monday, June 13th. Permission form must be filled out for your child to attend. Thank you.
What To Bring:
- Students and parents will be required to bring a lunch on this day.
- Waterbottle (important!)
- Dress in weather appropriate clothing.
- Hat
- Backpack - Students will be carrying their backpack all day and will be responsible for their own belongings.
Parent Volunteers:
Parent volunteers are welcome to join us. If you are interested in coming along, please contact your child’s teacher as soon as possible.
