Monday: Halloween costume parade 9am and party 1:15pm
Tuesday: PD Day, No School, No Library this week
Wednesday: Early Dismissal

Friday: Assembly, Christmas card orders due!

THANK YOU to all the families who volunteered to help with our Halloween activities by making playdough, a treat, or assisting with the centres!  You are very appreciated!

In the Classroom:

ELA: Students read for 10 mins during our stamina practice time! Way to go Grade Ones! They are ready for rotations. This week I will introduce Daily 5 literacy centres. Students will rotate through 4 of the stations: Read to Self, Word Work, Listen to Reading, and Meet with Teacher. 

This week, students will receive the final four red words. We will practice reading and writing them this week. Next week, students will be assessed on all of the red words.

Students will also be introduced to the chromebooks this week. We will learn how to log on, and how to access our class blog for learning links.

Math: We are finished our pattern unit and will resume our study of Numbers. Zero the Hero will visit as we reach our Day 40 milestone! 

Science: We will finish our 5 Senses unit this week with our Halloween Senses event and some Taste experiments.

Social: Traditions and Celebrations is our focus this week.
