We had the immense pleasure of having Kairo's mom, Jasmine, share with us some Indigenous culture through story, song and dance. Jasmine and Jordan performed dances such as the Broom dance, Fancy Dance, Knife/Belt dance, and taught us how to jig! We ended the morning with a circle/Friendship dance that we all participated in. It was a truly incredible experience for us all. Thank you so much to Jasmine and Jordan for celebrating Aboriginal Day with us. And thanks to Kairo who performed the Grass Dance!
