Here's a last peek at some of our class activities as we prepared for the holidays:
Gingerbread Houses!
We had a ton of fun making Gingerbread houses with our Gr. 3 Buddies! Thanks again to all the families who sent in candy for decorating! And special thanks to Karter's mom who volunteered to make the royal icing! We couldn't have done it without you!Christmas Around the World
Traveling the world on the Polar Express was a delight! We especially enjoyed the extra arts and crafts time. Below is Pointsettias from Mexico, Christmas Trees/Tannenbaum from Germany, and St. Lucia crowns from Sweden.
Santa's Stuck!
We worked on a writing idea based on a story we read. The students had many ideas for how we would get Santa out if he were stuck in the chimney.
We wrote to Santa and Santa wrote back!
Our class received a giant letter from the North Pole. It was interesting to learn they do quite a bit of gardening up there. Santa send us some North Pole sunflower seeds! We are excited to plant them in the new year.
Christmas Concert
We ended the year with PJs and a school-wide movie. Thanks to the parents who made popcorn for all the students.
I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! See you in 2018!
