This week:
Monday to Wednesday: Book Fair in the Library
Tuesday-Thursday: Parent Meetings
Thursday: Remembrance Day Ceremony 11am. Students are to dress in formal wear. Scouts and Brownies, please wear your uniform.
Friday: PD day, No School for Students
In the classroom:
ELA: We are working on setting up the Daily 5 literacy framework. We have practiced so far: Read to Self, Word Work, and Work on Writing. This week we will add 'Listen to Reading' as one of the center rotations. Our Bats mini-unit will continue this week. A few activities we'll be doing include: illustrating a Bat Facts book, writing about Bats (fact and fiction), and watching Stellaluna.
Math: This week we finish up our Patterns unit and return to our study of Numbers 1-20.
Science: We continue with our 5 Senses unit.
Social: As part of our school community, we will take part in a Remembrance Day ceremony.
