Friday in 1K

We had a great day in 1K starting with the Assembly. We watched the Gr.2's Responsibility play and started a kindness project to grow The Grinch's heart. I can't wait to hear all the happy stories next week. For every act of kindness, we add a heart to the bulletin board downstairs. The whole school is working together to grow love before Christmas!

Grade 1s worked on our top-secret Christmas art project, our Daily 5 (Thank you to Mrs.Donofrio for volunteering today!), enjoyed a special Mystery Reader ( Thank you Brayden's Nan!), had some extra outdoor playtime for Healthy Hearts, and finished our Social project.

Students enjoyed having a book they made read to them by our Mystery Reader.

Students created a flag for our class group. We collaborated, voted and decided on a Diamond for our symbol, Turquoise for our color, and A Learning Mine as our theme. We are also working on t-shirt designs.

Thank you to all who have donated candy for our gingerbread houses and to our volunteers. We are ready to build on Tuesday!

Skating Monday. Get your skates ready! :)

Students should be practicing all the yellow words. I will be assessing next week. All the words are on Spelling City which has some great games for practice.
