Tuesday: The 100th Day of School, Fruit Fundraiser due
Wednesday: Rainbow Day, Library
Thursday: Books and Beads
Friday: Assembly 8:40am
In the Classroom:
ELA: Tuesday we will be doing 100 day activities. On Wednesday we officially begin our month long study of Penguins! Our thematic unit will include both non-fiction and fiction books for both reading and writing, a research project, vocabulary, creative writing, and art. We will continue to do home reading, rainbow words, and the Daily 5 during this time.
Math: Working with numbers up to 100. Continuing practice for both addition, subtraction, and problem solving.
Science: We have a few more activities and experiments to do in our Creating Colour unit. This week we will be exploring colour centres on Rainbow Day, painting and doing a Mystery Colour experiment later in the week.
We will culminate this unit with our Art Gallery Fieldtrip next week. If you have not already filled out the permission form on Powerschool, please do so this week. I have our 2 volunteers. Thank you!
