January 17th is the 100th day of School. A note/bag for our 100 Museum project was sent home.
January 18th is Rainbow Day. Dress in a rainbow of colour!
In the classroom:
ELA: It's Friendship Week! Students will be participating in reading and writing activities on the theme of friendship, love, and. ..pie! We will be reading the books Enemy Pie and 'Pie in the Sky', discussing the ingredients of a good friendship, and will end the week giving valentines and making pies with our classmates.
Math: Students will be introduced to the concept of subtraction.
Science: Experimenting with adding white/black to a colour. Investigating the colours that make up black with an experiment on chromatography.
The Penguin visit on Friday will kick off our upcoming unit on,yep, Penguins!
