Students practice their Rainbow words (sight words) in various ways in the classroom as part of our Daily 5 word work. We use playdough, stamps, stickers, wiki sticks, magnetic letters, bingo dabbers, crayons etc. to build and write our words everyday. Students also need to practice reading their words at home (using their word rings) and should be able to say the words by sight quite quickly. Another tool for word practice at home is Spelling City. I have posted all the Rainbow Word lists up to Blue. Students can click on the Game button and choose from several games that will help them learn their words. If you'd like other suggestions on how to practice sight words at home, please ask. Happy Learning!
