Wednesday: Library, Permission for Teachers Pet Fieldtrip online
Thursday: The Gingerbread Teacher Author visit 1-2:30pm
Friday: No School
In the Classroom:
ELA: Focusing on Storywriting, reading Fairytales, a special Author visit, Daily 5, Words their Way (word sorts)
Math: We will do two fun measurement activities this week. The Capacity Carnival and The Queen's Letter. The first is a 'carnival' of activities where the students will be exploring capacity. The second is a summation of all we have learned about measurement. Students will receive a letter from the Queen requesting some items that are the 'biggest, longest, heaviest...'. Students will put their measurement knowledge to work to find these items in our class. For the giant, of course! ;)
Science: We will look at Seasonal Change for Spring before we go on our midterm break.
Social: Completing our Community Scrapbook.
Health: Introduction to the 'Zones'.
