Here we are at the Arts Barn! Students enjoyed the performance of The Tin Soldier by Alberta Opera. It was our first bus fieldtrip and everyone was very well behaved. Proud of these terrific kids!
We read the book,
Pete the Cat and the Magic Sunglasses, did an experiment with a half glass of water, and learned a little about 'perspective'. Students made their own 'magic cool blue glasses' and did a writing activity about what they could see.
Zero the Hero visited us on the 30th day of school. He left us some colourful zeros to count and sort into groups of 5s. We have also been practicing counting by 10s and 5s during our morning work. Students are encouraged to practice counting at home.
We learned a fun game called 'Spider trap'. It is a lot like the game Hangman but with a Spider! Students worked with a partner to practice their red rainbow words. They did great at guessing each other's words!
