October 14-16

This very short week:

Wednesday: Photo Day, XC practice
Thursday: SUTP due, Books and Beads
Friday: Time Warp dress up Day

Reminder to complete Permission form for the Tin Soldier fieldtrip.

In the Classroom:

ELA: Continue to work on our Reading Stamina, Phonics and Printing. Students are expected to read at home everyday and practice their rainbow words until they know them by sight. Thank you for your support and continued assistance with these programs. Students were excited on Thursday to choose their colour of bead string and some students got their first bead! When marking in the Books and Beads folder, each book needs to be written once (so I can keep track of the titles they've read) but students can colour a book EVERY time they read a book! Thank you to Mrs. Neilsen for volunteering to help with our literacy programs this week! :)

SS/ELA: Knuffle Bunny Project. Based on the book by Mo Willams.  Students will learn more about places in our school while developing literacy skills. We will incorporate guided drawing and a neat stuffed bunny art activity.
