In the Classroom:
ELA: Students will be introduced to the final four red rainbow words. We are practicing the words in class during Word Work time but students are encouraged to review them at home. By the end of the week, it is our goal to be able to read all the red words. I will assess each student's ability to read the red words next week. Students are continuing to build their reading stamina during Read to Self time. Last week we started a writing project based on Knuffle Bunny. It was quite an adventure through the school! We lost Knuffle Bunny and found him again at our classroom. Students are using sight words to complete the story and illustrate each page with a drawing of Knuffle Bunny.
Math: Students are working on creating, replicating, and continuing patterns. We work on Numbers every day as part of our Rise and Shine time. This week Zero the Hero returns to teach us about the number 30!
Science: Students will explore our sense of Smell and Taste through a variety of activities and experiments.
Social: Belonging to our School is our focus as we complete our Knuffle Bunny project.
