This Week:
Monday: Books and Beads
Tuesday: Library
Wednesday: Mrs. Becker's Farewell Assembly 2:30pm
Thursday: Books and Beads
Friday: 8:45am Assembly and Costume Parade, Drumming presentation 1:30-2:30pm
In the Classroom:
ELA: We are doing a thematic story study this week using a book called, Big Pumpkin.

Students will do a variety of activities including identifying Story Elements, Sequencing, Retelling and Illustrating the story, and performing Reader's Theatre!
We will continue with Daily 5 building reading stamina and working on writing in our journals. Students will be assessed on the Red Rainbow words and will be introduced to the first 5 Orange words. We will continue with our phonics and printing lessons.
Math: We will finish our Patterning unit this week and return to our Numbers unit. We will review numbers to 30 and begin our climb up to 40!
Science: Last week, we did experiments on Smell and Taste. It was interesting to hear the student predictions on our smelly containers. It was also fun to test out the 4 tastes, especially sour! This week we are exploring our sense of hearing and will wrap up our 5 Senses unit with a Halloween-themed 5 Senses extravaganza!
Social: We are almost finished our Knuffle Bunny books. Now that we have explored the school with Knuffle Bunny, we will ask: Where will Knuffle Bunny go next?!
Art: Check out our Pumpkin Patch!
