In the Classroom:
ELA: This week we will read a story called: Squirrel's New Year's Resolution.
We will discuss goal setting and make our own 'resolution' for the New Year.
Students will be introduced to the "Work on Writing" component of the Daily 5. Writing Folders and Wonder Journals are a couple tools we will use as we learn to become Writers! We will continue with Guided Reading, Listening to Reading, Read to Self, and Word Work. Students will be introduced to 5 Green words.
Math: Working on Numbers to 100, Beginning Addition and Subtraction
Science: Seasonal Change Winter
Social: Cooperation, Decision Making, Citizenship. Students will connect how good decision making skills help create happy communities.
