Building Things In-School Field Trip!
Dear Parents,
On Thursday, May 26th the Grade one classes will be having an in-school field trip. The presenters from Teacher’s Pet will be coming out to do an interactive, project-based, curriculum-based session with the students.
The students will be doing a 2 hour “Zoo Building” session based on their science unit, Building Things. Students will be working in groups to explore a variety of materials and fasteners as they construct zoo enclosures. Students will construct their own 3D animal and will take the entire project home. It is going to be great!
Cost per student: $11.00
Permission for this in-school field trip MUST be filled out online. Permission and the fee will be open online starting May 13th.
There are 3 parent volunteers required from each Grade One class. Please inform your child’s teacher if you are interested in joining us on this day. Not all the Grade Ones will be doing the session at the same time, so check with your child’s teacher to see what time your child’s session is.
