In the Classroom:

ELA: Students are doing a great job remembering to bring their Home Reading each morning. Thank you for your support, they are so excited to be reading! This week I will start making adjustments with their reading levels.

Students are also enjoying their Reading Group time! I am noticing already connections students are making in hearing sounds in words. This helps them not only with reading but writing words too! We are working on stretching out words that we are wanting to write and listening for the sounds we hear so we can know what letters to write down. Students have started weekly journal entries to practice writing their thoughts and ideas down.

This week students will begin bringing home Rainbow Words (sight words). These words are to be practiced each night along with the Home Reading book. They will be collecting the words on a ring and practicing them at school too. Please keep the word ring in the book bag pouch with the Home Reading items. Thank you! I will post the Word of the Week on the blog as well.

Social: We went on a fun adventure around our school while making our Knuffle Bunny book! We will finish it this week.
