Big Pumpkin
We kicked off Halloween week by reading and performing the story Big Pumpkin. Students did a fantastic job of retelling the story! They also illustrated their own retell of the story to keep.Frankenstein
We also read a story called Frankie Stein. We learned how to read and write a recipe using sequence words: First, Next, Then, Last. We made Frankenpudding! And these adorable Frankensteins. Ours are displayed in the hallway!
Ghost Guess Who?!
We wrote clues for our classmates by completing sentences like "My hair is ___. My eyes are___. My name starts with ___.". We had to read the clues and make a guess before lifting the ghost to see who it was! We hung these around the school so we could go on a ghostly guessing adventure!
Halloween 5 Senses
We made mini-readers about the 5 senses.
In the afternoon, we enjoyed all the creepy centres! The favourites were the Witches Kitchen Touch centre and the Tasting centre. They also loved the playdough!
Huge Thanks again to all our volunteers (Liam's mom, Keegan's mom, Gabby's mom,Tobey's mom, Erika's mom, and Orion's mom) for helping us with all our Halloween activities!
Here we are! All dressed up! Happy Halloween!
