ELA:
Reading groups resume this week. Students will have their second assessment on their red words and be introduced to the first 5 orange words. We are reading, writing, and researching about Bats.Math:
Numbers up to 50 is our focus this week, including a 50's Day celebration as we reach the 50th day of school milestone! Students are encouraged to dress in 50s style on Thursday. This week students will also work on identifying numbers that come Before/After any given number (up to 50).
Science:
BATS! Students will engage in high-flying lessons on Bats physical characteristics, habitat, echolocation, and more.
Social:
Belonging to groups... Students will continue to share community groups they belong to. We will create a name and emblem for a group we all belong to: 1B!
