In the Classroom

ELA

Students will be introduced to 5 Green words. We will be practicing these and our other rainbow words during our daily 5 time. Students will be introduced to digraphs (sh, th, wh, ch) over the next couple weeks.

Daily 5: Read to Self, Listen to Reading, Word Work: Playdough Stamping,
 Meet with Teacher: Learning the new website, Teach Your Monster to Read.

Students will participate in Reading groups this week and will be assessed next week.

We will do more winter themed writing this week. Our focus book is a beautiful book called Over and Under the Snow.

Math

We are practicing skip counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s. 

Science

We are studying the season, Winter.

Painting the winter tree in our Seasonal Changes tree book
