In the Classroom:
ELA: Students are reviewing letter sounds and learning to write simple words using the Animated Literacy program. So far we have reviewed P, U, and O through action songs, wrote and drew the words Pup and Pop.
This week we will add letter M and write Mom. We are also on our second Beginning Sounds word sort. By the end of September we will have reviewed all letter sounds. We began our printing practice starting with the half-moon letters. Students have prepped their own Wonder Journals and we are excited to start them this week! We are writing about our classmates in our Grade One Friends book.
Math: We are reviewing Numbers 1-10.

This week we will observe Seasonal Changes in Fall on our first Fieldtrip. Ensure you have filled out the permission form. Email me if you would like to join us on our walk.
Social: We are learning about our classmates and sharing about ourselves with the Me Bags and Special Student activities.
