In the Classroom

ELA

We are so excited to have mailed our Pen pal letters! We are currently writing a story! We have become super writers in 1B! Animated Literacy, Reading groups, and Daily 5 all continue.
We will begin our final unit soon: Fairytales!

Math

We have mastered counting by 10s. We've been working super hard on counting by 5s. Ask your child to count for you!

We have learned several adding and subtraction games that can be played with dice or cards. Playing these games helps us learn our math facts quickly and it's so much fun!

New unit! 2D and 3D shapes

Science

Building Things: STEM challenges will be paired with each of the Fairytales we are studying. This is a super fun unit! We will also have a real Engineer visit us May 25th to do a special building project.
